
BERLIN, Germany (AVING Special Report on ‘IFA 2006′) — <Visual News> On the Hitachi stand at this year”s IFA the emphasis is on the AliS 1080i panels, the first plasma screens with an HD resolution of 1,024 x 1,080 pixels.
The company”s flagship series, the 9000 with digital receiver, and the basic HD units, the 8000 series, operate with this panel. It can show up to five per cent more picture that the usual HD panels and also provides a sharper image than its predecessors. With its LCD televisions Hitachi is using its new alpha IPS Pro technology, giving faster reaction times and a wider viewing angle.

According to the company the two hybrid cam models, DVHS301 and DVHS303, are a world first and are being presented to the public for the first time at the IFA. In addition to a Super Multi+ DVD drive the two camcorders are also equipped with an eight gigabyte hard drive.
The new 3LCD projector PJ-TX300 offers 1,200 ANSI lumen and has been designed for high definition home cinema use. The contrast of 10.000:1 and the excellent picture definition make this a multi-purpose projector for everything from slide shows to action movies.
