[World IT Show 2012] LG Electronics, ’55 inch OLED 3D TV’ expresses tens of millions colors

LG electric (CEO Bon-jun Gu, www.lge.co.kr) participated in ‘2012 World IT SHOW’ from May 15(Tue) to 18(Fri) in KOEX, Seoul and introduced world largest 55 inch OLED 3D TV.

55 inch OLED 3D TV is receiving global attention as next generation TV which combines LG advanced 3D TV technology and Smart TV functions.

OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) is the technology which can express tens of millions of colors which cannot be expressed in existing TV and it uses special materials that produce the lights by itself when electricity is passed though. This just 4 mm thick TV is manufactured actually close to non-bezel, which could also transfer the visual beauty that surpasses the existing TV.

Additionally thanks to OLED characteristics, it gives wider viewing angles and watching degrees and expresses the screens without distortions. And with the fast response speed of ‘1/50,000 second’ class, it doesn’t leave afterimages and express fast motions. It has auxiliary functions of smart share and voice recognition function and through magic remote control, intuitive control is possible.

At CES show of this year, this TV was selected as the Best Product in 10 Products of Excellence in 2,700 companies’ products through online votes and won “Best of CES” Award.

‘WIS 2012′ which has the slogan of ‘Beyond IT’ is a national biggest high-tech IT exhibition exhibiting and introducing various technologies and equipment including mobile, communication, broadcasting related technologies, cloud computing, smart work, software, digital contents, IT convergence, industrial electronic equipment and others.
